And FSX is being retired by developers which currently is my only option to fly the aircraft.

There was no good support of anything.
PMDG was the gold standard and pretty much alone at that level.
There was no good flight planning software, just a few good addon airports, no good airac support, almost no charts available, many features of today's MD11 Lufthansa Cargo and their EFB for example were not available and there was no good performance go here />Additionally people were used to the Boeing systems taught by the PMDG airplanes all above the 747, later the 737 and the Wilco 767 Pilot in Command my first FS addonlater the Level D version.

S I would like to see a 757 especially 300 version I would honestly prefer an Airbus widebody, the Airbus community has been really lacking attention from good developers.
The lack of any Airbus widebodies for P3Dv4 is really frustrating.
I am aware of the BBS stuff, but for me that really is not a viable option.
They are unfinished port-overs that are full of bugs and barely flyable.
There is a lot of anticipation for a certain A330, but it's been a long time in the making, and I don't see it arriving before 2020.

Even if PMDG where to buy the Level-D code, update the visuals and release, it would be way better than what we have now.
Another way could be to co-develop a B767 with Level-D.
They made a nice airplane but hung us out to dry when Lockheed Martin went to the 64 bit version 4.
PMDG on the other hand updated their aircraft and released it with no additional charge which is one of the many reasons I buy their products.
I know that when RSR and PMDG started the J41, they completely revamped their workflow and framework.
It solved a lot of problems and was suppose to help make development easier as there was some code reuse.
I am sure the Level-D code would have to go through with a fine tooth comb to make it compatible with how PMDG does things now.
I am thinking it might be easier to start over.
We know that NG3, from RSRs comments, is in development.
Also another team is working GFO.
I also know that J41 is not dead and has just been placed on the backburner.
So I am hoping to learn of the next big PMDG project after NG3.
